MY NEXT 4 YEARS WILL BE PEACEFUL AND PROSPEROUS – BUHARI PROMISES

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised Nigerians that his next tenure in office would be peaceful prosperous and corruption free.

Buhari made the promise on Thursday, March 7, when leaders of the organised labour paid him a visit at the state house, in Abuja, This Day reports.

The president stated that his focus for the next four years as president will be on fulfilling his campaign promises, fighting corruption, fighting insecurity and growing the Nigerian economy.

By the grace of God, majority of Nigerians have given me another four years of continuity. We will remain focused on our promises which remain security, economy and fighting corruption,Buhari said.

“I want to assure you that the next four years will be peaceful, prosperous and corruption free. I therefore look forward to receiving your proposals so that together, we can achieve these goals.

Buhari commended the labour leaders for encouraging Nigerians to participate in the February 23 presidential election, saying their cooperation helped many to exercise their civic rights.

In a related report, President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) still owed Nigerians explanation on how it spent humongous resources that accrued to the country from oil sales between 1999 and 2014.

The president made the statement when he received the leadership of organized labour which came to felicitate with him on his electoral victory at State House, Abuja, on Thursday, March 7, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

He said the current administration met a country with dilapidated infrastructure all round in 2015 and the situation called for the serious question what the party was in power for 16 years needed to explain.
