Many people might wonder if celebrity marriages are destined to have a bad ending going by the high number of negative news compared to positive ones.
When two of Nigeria’s favourite celebs decide to walk down the aisle, fans are often excited and look forward to their affectionate displays on social media.
However, that is not always the case. Ebony Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede, and her estranged husband, Olakunle Abounce Fawole, have gone their separate ways after almost two years of marriage. They had tied the knot on February 4, 2017
This sad news came to the fore after fans noticed that Abounce had not posted photos of their newborn son, Xavier, and was also noticeably absent from his dedication.
Shortly after, Yvonne also yanked off her husband’s name from her social media profiles. The actress has now revealed some details about her failed marriage in an exclusive interview with Pulse.
The mother of one explained that the issues started when she was about two or three months pregnant with her son and that it only got worse with time.
She said: “We started having issues before the birth of Xavier. I think I was about two to three months pregnant when the issues came. Immediately the issues came, there was never a dull moment, it just kept going up and up and it got worse and it got bad and today here we are.”
Jegede also added that she later moved out of her matrimonial home after a mutual agreement because things were not going well. She also confirmed that they are no longer man and wife.
“Right now, we are not living together, and we are not living as husband and wife, we are not husband and wife anymore and I would say a mutual agreement to go our separate ways. It didn’t work out, it wasn’t working out”, she said.
Speaking further in the interview Jegede admitted that there were some nice and sweet times in her marriage before it crashed.
Meanwhile the pretty actress seems to have moved on with her life seeing as she recently shared stunning photos of herself on social media.
