ALEXIS SANCHEZ READY FOR MAN UNITED FA CUP CLASH WITH ARSENAL, WARNS SOLSKJAER

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Arsenal fans not to taunt Alexis Sanchex during their FA Cup fourth round clash at the Emirates stadium this weekend.

The Red Devils boss believes the Chilean forward could get motivated if the Gunners supporters turn against him.

Sanchez is expected to make a return to the United starting line-up against his former side in the blockbuster tie that could attract abuse his way.

The 30-year-old winger sealed a sensational move to Old Trafford in January 2018, in a deal that saw Armenian midfielder, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, move the the other way. This will be Sanchez’s first return to the Emirates since the switch.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Solskjaer has now cautioned Arsenal fans that Sanchez would only be motivated by any abuse he experiences at his former home.

“I think he’ll love it if the crowd turn against him. As a player, pride kicks in and you think ‘I’ll show all of you,” the Norwegian tactician observed.

“He’s been fantastic in training, his attitude has been spot on so hopefully he’ll enjoy the game,” he added.

During his time with the Gunners, Sanchez won the FA Cup title twice, scoring in two finals against Chelsea and Aston Villa.

He will therefore be seeking to continue with his heroics in the competition, even as he strives to put his miserable form at the Red Devils behind him.

Continentour.com.ng earlier reported that Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has aimed a dig at Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez for dumping the North London club.

The Chilean striker forced his way out of the Emirates Stadium to join the Red Devils in January 2018 but has struggled for form and goals at Old Trafford.

He has scored just three Premier League goals since he joined Jose Mourinho’s side earlier this year.
